Ayahuasca Screening Information
This is for those who want to take part in the sacred medicine ceremonies and not for tourists, photographers, researchers etc., who are coming for the Rainforest, Farm Visit, Wildlife Holiday, etc., experience only.
The following is rather long-winded and might seem somewhat intrusive, but it is important so please take your time to answer it honestly and in reasonable detail. This information will remain confidential and will only be used to assess your suitability for a place. It will normally only be kept three months after your last session with us for purposes of post retreat assessment. We want to know how successful your experience with us has been in order to be able to continually improve our care.
The purpose of the screening parts are to determine whether plant medicine healing is suitable for you or whether you might require a more bespoke specialist service rather than joining a general group whose principal purpose is for spiritual development. For example, if you are alcohol dependent and wish to be free of that then it might be more appropriate to put you with people with similar problems so that the emphasis of your stay is more specifically orientated to your needs as there are specific techniques/modalities which can be employed in addition to the plant ceremonies.
Plant medicines vary greatly in their intensity and specificity and some entail certain risks. Your answers to this questionnaire will help us to determine which medicinal plants and foods we might use. Additionally, we will normally use either Kinesiology or the Neutral Pendulum technique to see how you are likely to react to the plants to ensure no harm and to optimise results.
Working with ayahuasca can involve intense experiences accompanied by strong emotional and physical releases. It is not recommended for people with cardiovascular problems, serious hypertension, psychiatric conditions, recent fractures or surgery, acute infectious diseases, epilepsy or active spiritual emergencies.
There is no empirical research data on the safety of ayahuasca in pregnant women. If you have any doubt as to whether you should participate in the session, it is essential that you consult the organisers of the session.
Now, please fill in the required form below. If you don't know the answer to any of the questions just put a question mark.
